Karin Rabe studied business administration at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and graduated with a degree in economics. After working as a research assistant at the Technical University of Magdeburg in the department of strategic corporate planning for two years, she began her professional career in the corporate lending department of Bayerische Vereinsbank AG in 1990.

In 1996 she moved to Thüringer Aufbaubank to finance Thuringian technology companies with equity products and to accompany the companies on their journey. Since founding beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh (bm|t) in 2003, she has successfully managed a broad portfolio of companies. As a senior investment manager, she is particularly enthusiastic about new technologies in the fields of optics, electronics, mechanical and equipment engineering, as well as IT and material technology.

Martin Weigert studied microsystems technology in Regensburg and began his career at Siemens Semiconductor, now Infineon. He was involved in semiconductor process technology and product development of fiber optic products. After two years in LED marketing at Osram, he moved to Infineon Fiber Optics in Berlin. There, he headed component development. Later on, he became head of the Plastic Optical Fiber marketing department at Infineon in Regensburg. This business unit was acquired by Avago Technologies in 2007.

Martin Weigert was assigned the business responsibility of the Industrial Fiber Optics division at Avago Technologies, which today employs people worldwide and includes optical sensors in addition to industrial fiber optics. Today, Mr. Weigert is VP & GM for the Industrial Fiber Optics business unit at Avago / Broadcom.

Ulrich Wallenhorst, a physicist with honors, began his career at HARTING and held leadership positions at WEIDMÜLLER and B.BRAUN AVITUM before joining TE CONNECTIVITY as Vice President and CTO, where he led global growth strategies and played a key role in the ERNI Connectors acquisition. At KNIPEX, he significantly promoted strategy development as the technical managing director. He founded WaVe Wallenhorst Ventures GmbH, specializing in consulting and investment, focusing on supervisory mandates, corporate acquisitions, wealth management, coaching, startup support, and EU legislative issues.

With over 30 years of experience in sectors such as transportation, tele/data communication, industrial automation, digitization, energy, and medical technology, he possesses extensive leadership and strategy expertise. His roles on supervisory boards and as a consultant, coupled with his certification by Deutsche Börse, highlight his governance competency. His commitment as a Business Angel, especially in the DeepTech sector, reflects his interest in innovation and sustainable leadership.
